The cruel and absurd aggression of Russia against Ukraine has changed almost everything, including our view on various, usually unappreciated aspects of our lives. Just like the whole Polish society, the SGH community has passed this exercise in humanity, likely the most significant to date. The Ukrainian refugees found help in their friends – within the walls of SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
We would therefore like to thank all those who aided Ukrainian citizens, including SGH experts and researchers who are already analysing the economic aspects of Russia's aggression on Ukraine on an ongoing basis and would like to draft recommendations for the Ukrainian government on post-war economic recovery.
In these trying times, even if just for a moment, let us look both to the past – the tremendous success of our country (with the 18th anniversary of Poland’s accession to the EU in May) – and to the future – particularly to European education which, we hope, will develop with the younger generations in mind: especially those generations which instead of studying and enjoying life, have to fight for the survival and sovereignty of their state.
