On April 27–28, the SGH Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) hosted the “4th NDC Conference 2026: Global Megatrends and the Challenges for Pension Systems,” the fourth NDC conference dedicated to global megatrends and the challenges facing pension systems in the 21st century. International experts discussed the implementation and operation of NDC (Non-financial Defined Contribution) pension systems in various countries, including Sweden, Poland, and Italy. The conference was held as part of the celebrations marking the 120th anniversary of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
On 10 April 2026, the Rector and Professor of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, Dr hab. Piotr Wachowiak, conferred the diploma of Doctor honoris causa upon the Polish astronaut Dr Eng. Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the advancement of science and international cooperation. The ceremony of awarding the diploma certifying the conferment of the honorary degree forms part of the celebrations marking the 120th anniversary of SGH, held under the motto ‘Tradition that shapes Tomorrow’.

RID Seminar by Department of Economics I
On March 24th 2026, at the European University Institute (EUI), in the historic setting of Villa Salviati, took place the panel “Pro-Palestinian Activism as an Intersectional Movement”. The event was organised in coordination with The Queer and Feminist Studies Working Group and the Working Group on Palestine of the EUI and with the support of Professor Bruno Gammerl and Professor Monika Baar. The panel aimed to shed light on a relatively overlooked phenomenon that constitutes an attempt to deconstruct the dominant narratives on the Palestinian Israeli conflict.
On October 22 2025, at SGH Warsaw School of Economics, the First Inter-University Climate Forum took place, during which experts, business representatives, local governments, and non-governmental organizations together searched for solutions for climate protection and sustainable development.
The Historical Archives of the European Union in Florence, in cooperation with the Visegrad Fund, is accepting applications for research grants for archival research in the field of European integration in the HAEU collections in Florence.
