SGH Welcomed Students from Around the World for Summer University Warsaw 2026
In July 2026, SGH Warsaw School of Economics hosted another edition of Summer University Warsaw – a two-week international summer school designed for students from foreign universities. The program is one of SGH's initiatives supporting the internationalization of education and strengthening long-term partnerships with universities around the world. This year's participants represented higher education institutions from South Korea, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Austria and Estonia.
The course was officially inaugurated by Professor Jacek Prokop, Vice Rector for International Relations, who highlighted the importance of international academic cooperation and creating opportunities for students from different countries to exchange knowledge and experiences. The initiative concluded with a Gala Dinner, during which participants were awarded certificates confirming the successful completion of the Summer University Warsaw program.

The curriculum focused on management challenges in the context of the global economy. Participants explored topics related to entrepreneurship, marketing, and business strategies in international markets. Emphasis was placed on modern management solutions supported by artificial intelligence, including a dedicated module developed in cooperation with the SGH AI Lab. For undergraduate students, successful completion of the course is equivalent to 6 ECTS credits. The academic component was complemented by a program of cultural and integration activities, allowing participants to explore the history, culture and contemporary character of Warsaw. The SGH Students' Union played an active role in participants throughout their stay in the city.
An important element of this year's edition was an external workshop hosted at the Polish Chamber of Commerce (Krajowa Izba Gospodarcza). The workshop focused on models of Poland's economic cooperation with partners from different regions of the world and on the role of economic diplomacy in supporting business development. The workshop was organised as part of the cooperation between SGH and PCC, established through a partnership agreement signed in February 2025.
The next edition of Summer University Warsaw will take place in July 2027. We encourage SGH staff to share information about this summer school with our international academic partners and with students interested in experiencing academic life at SGH.
The project is implemented within the SGH Centre for Open Education.
