The SGH Warsaw School of Economics has climbed eight places in the prestigious “The Financial Times” Masters in Finance 2026 ranking, which lists the world’s best universities offering master’s programmes in finance and accounting. This is the second time SGH has featured in this ranking, this year coming in at 62nd place. SGH is the only Polish public university included in this ranking.
In the latest episode of the series #GlobalTalks as part of the SGcHat format, the podcast studio was visited by Prof. Nicholas Barr from the London School of Economics and Prof. Maciej Żukowski from the Poznań University of Economics.
This May, the SGH European Union Society organised the European Climate Policy Lab – a series of three expert-led discussions dedicated to some of the most pressing challenges facing European climate policy. The initiative brought together students and researchers in an interactive dialogue on climate disinformation, the future of the European Green Deal, and the role of cities in driving the green transition.

On 15 June 2026, the SGH Warsaw School of Economics hosted the 3rd International Scientific Conference, "Space in Economics – Social Determinants of Economic Development". The conference brought together representatives of Polish and international academic institutions to discuss contemporary challenges of economic development from spatial, social, and institutional perspectives.
The Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit is Europe’s largest conference for women working in the fields of new technologies, innovation and science. The SGH Warsaw School of Economics was an academic partner of the event, which this year took place under the slogan “Unleash New Energy” and attracted nearly 14,000 participants from around the world.
On March 24th 2026, at the European University Institute (EUI), in the historic setting of Villa Salviati, took place the panel “Pro-Palestinian Activism as an Intersectional Movement”. The event was organised in coordination with The Queer and Feminist Studies Working Group and the Working Group on Palestine of the EUI and with the support of Professor Bruno Gammerl and Professor Monika Baar. The panel aimed to shed light on a relatively overlooked phenomenon that constitutes an attempt to deconstruct the dominant narratives on the Palestinian Israeli conflict.
On October 22 2025, at SGH Warsaw School of Economics, the First Inter-University Climate Forum took place, during which experts, business representatives, local governments, and non-governmental organizations together searched for solutions for climate protection and sustainable development.
The Historical Archives of the European Union in Florence, in cooperation with the Visegrad Fund, is accepting applications for research grants for archival research in the field of European integration in the HAEU collections in Florence.
