Next, students from the SGH High School participated in a quiz about the European Union, testing their knowledge of the history and functioning of the community.
The next part of the program was a presentation on opportunities for internships and employment within the institutions of the European Union, by Dr. Kinga Schlesinger.
This was followed by an expert panel on lobbying in the EU. The discussion featured habilitated doctor Grzegorz Makowski, SGH Prof., habilitated doctor Urszula Kurczewska, SGH Prof., Prof. Krzysztof Jasiecki, and habilitated doctor Małgorzata Molęda-Zdziech, SGH Prof. The discussion was moderated by Karolina Zbytniewska, executive editor of "EURACTIV Polska".
After the panel, there was a meeting with the Rector of SGH and Minister Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, during which a cake was ceremoniously cut to celebrate the first anniversary of the activity of the European Union Society.
Following the ceremony, a meeting took place with accreditation officers and liaison officers working on the Polish Presidency of the EU Council.
To conclude the day, participants had the opportunity to engage in a discussion with representatives of the SGH International Cooperation Center and CIVICA ambassadors. The event was not only an opportunity to celebrate Europe Day but also a chance to deepen knowledge about the European Union and learn about the international cooperation opportunities offered to SGH students.
