The Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit is Europe’s largest conference for women working in the fields of new technologies, innovation and science. The SGH Warsaw School of Economics was an academic partner of the event, which this year took place under the slogan “Unleash New Energy” and attracted nearly 14,000 participants from around the world.

The Women in Tech Summit is a two-day celebration of innovation organised by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation. The event’s programme featured presentations by over 400 experts, talks on five themed stages, and hundreds of individual mentoring sessions. Participants debated, among other things, the future of artificial intelligence, quantum computers, biotechnology and the issue of responsible leadership in the age of the digital revolution. The event was also accompanied by a job fair, an academic zone, a research society zone, and a special Money Talks zone, focused on financial education based on modern technologies.

SGH participated in the Women in Tech Summit as an academic partner. A modern economy cannot exist without the synergy between business and advanced technology. That is why it is worthwhile for our student community to have a unique opportunity for direct contact with representatives of leading technology brands. This is an excellent opportunity for SGH, during the ongoing recruitment period for first- and second-cycle programmes, to continue helping students make this important decision regarding their choice of university or field of study. In the academic zone, which ran throughout the event, our Admissions Department and representatives from the MBA and postgraduate programmes answered numerous questions regarding both the admissions process itself and the specific study programmes. Thanks to our partnership in this event, we are also able to involve student organisations in active participation. This year, the Business Student Research Group and the Data Science Student Research Group were able to present their projects. Collaborating with students at such events creates excellent synergy, as they too can showcase the university and the opportunities it offers through numerous conversations with participants.

SGH’s presence not only bolstered our recruitment efforts, but also provided an opportunity to strengthen ties with alumni, who were keen to visit us to say hello, share their views on their studies, reminisce, or send their regards to their favourite lecturers. Additionally, on the second day, Dominika Bettman, who has served as Chair of the University Council since 2024, gave a talk on one of the stages. As an experienced leader and manager, she spoke about the role of ethical leadership.
SGH’s participation in the event is part of its strategy to build a university that shapes the leaders of the future. We are delighted that both students and staff actively engage in this project every year.
