The conversation took place during the 4th NDC Conference at SGH, dedicated to global demographic trends and the future of pension systems.
The discussion covered issues such as population ageing, migration, public debt, and the impact of populism on pension policy. The experts explained why pension reforms are necessary, although often politically unpopular, and highlighted the role of productivity, the labour market, and public trust in the state. The experiences of Italy, Poland, Portugal, and Hungary, as well as the social and economic consequences of reforms introduced in those countries, served as key reference points throughout the discussion.
